The Cold Fizzion Reactor
(serves one)
Cold Fusion has always been something of the Holy Grail of clean energy, but every time we let someone get our hopes up, the cold facts tend to get in the way and we end up disappointed. To console ourselves, we created this variation on the classic Gin Fizz cocktail that omits the traditional dose of club soda in favor of carbonating the dickens out of the whole thing.
*Please Note: Until you are at least 21 years of age, you are forbidden by law to read this and sample any of the bubbly delights in the Carbonarium.
You Will Need:
- 2.5 ounces gin
- 1.25 oz. lemon juice
- 1 oz. simple syrup
- 1 egg white
How to Make:
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until you get tired.
- Pour ingredients into your polycarbonate bottle.
- Carbonate! (Do NOT overdo it on this one or it’ll go nuclear—one press is PLENTY.)
- Pour frothy deliciousness into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with lemon spiral.
- Sip. (Use a straw to avoid getting egg froth in your mustache.)
- Realize that just because something’s imaginary doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it—like flying reindeer! (It’s actually their harnesses that are magic.)
- Invite Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and Batman to join you for a glass of Holiday cheer!
