Instructions

NOTE: We highly encourage making the syrup volume for at least 6 servings. Adjust the scale above for adjustable measurements.

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Stir in the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla, and cloves. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook gently for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 2

Remove from heat and let the syrup cool. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, then store in a glass jar or bottle in the refrigerator for up to a month.

Step 3

To make your Pumpkin Spice Soda, mix 2 oz of syrup with 6 oz of sparkling water over ice, and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Tips and variations

  • Adjust the Sweetness: If you prefer your soda less sweet, reduce the amount of syrup in the glass or experiment with a sugar substitute.
  • Pumpkin Latte Twist: Want to take it up a notch? Add a splash of cream or milk to turn your soda into a pumpkin spice latte soda.
  • Spice it Up: Play around with the spices to customize the flavor. Add more cinnamon or ginger if you want an extra kick.
