What is the best-carbonated water to use for homemade soda?

When it comes to sparkling water, you truly cannot go wrong! Although, we are partial to homemade sparkling water that can be easily made with the use of a soda machine. The beauty of this method is that you can control the level of carbonation in your water, making it as bubbly or mild as you'd like! Using a soda machine is also significantly more cost-efficient especially if you and your family love to make homemade sodas often. With refillable CO2 canisters, access to make bubbly beverages is always at your fingertips!

Is it possible for my homemade strawberry soda to taste similar to store-bought strawberry soda?

To answer plainly, no it is not possible, but honestly, would you really want it to taste the same? Making homemade strawberry soda syrup allows you to control the ingredients and more importantly, ensure your ingredients are healthy and SAFE for your family to consume.

The ingredients found in classic strawberry sodas are far from healthy or safe. Many sodas contain a wide variety of artificially produced elements such as high fructose corn syrup, sodium benzoate, and red dye #40. Thankfully, these ingredients are rarely found in kitchens and instead, we get to play with DIY healthy soda recipes! We do love the recommended syrup recipes we provide, but remember they can all be tailored to your liking. Enjoy more of a less sugary strawberry flavor? Up the grams of strawberries and hold back on some of the sugar before your boil! Think of our recipe as a guideline that is intended to be adjusted to your liking.
