Step 1

Measure out your raspberries, peaches, sugar, water, and lemon juice, and add them to your pot. Mix your ingredients together and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, allow to simmer for 20 minutes until your berries look mushy and the liquid is dense in color.

Step 2

Remove your pot from heat and allow it to cool down. Once cool, strain your mixture through a cheesecloth and filter it into a sealable container. This syrup can be stored in your fridge for up to 1 month.

Step 3

To make your Raspberry Peach Soda, pour 2 Tbsp (or more!) into your glass with ice, and then proceed to top your glass with homemade sparkling water. Lightly mix your drink in an upwards motion to incorporate all your ingredients, and finish by garnishing with a lemon wheel, peach slices, and a few raspberries.

Will This Taste Like Store-Bought Fruit Sodas?

Our Raspberry Peach Soda recipe will resemble store-bought fruit sodas, but will not taste exactly like it. We believe the flavor of this homemade Raspberry Peach Soda rivals that of store-bought sodas due to its high quality and honest list of ingredients. Many ingredients found in store-bought sodas are artificial, leaving you with a higher intake of unhealthy sugars and artificial dyes and flavoring -- many of them are so over-produced their names are long and difficult to pronounce! Making homemade sodas is a great way to take a step towards a healthier future for you and your family.

What Seltzer Water Should I Use?

For best results with your Raspberry Peach Soda, we recommend using sparkling water that is homemade. Store-bought sparkling water may contain added sugar and preservatives, which could affect the drink's taste.

You adjust the carbonation level to your liking by using a soda machine at home. Besides, instead of purchasing seltzer water from stores, you can save money over time by reusing and exchanging the CO2 canisters usually used in soda machines. This is also an environmentally friendly option.

Depending on where you live in the United States, both raspberries and peaches can vary in peak season. Let's break down when is the best time for each fruit and asses peak recipe-making months for both of our tasty and sweet fruits.

Peach Peak Season

Peaches are typically in peak season from late spring to end of fall (May-October), of course, these exact dates will vary depending on your local climate. We recommend using a fruit and vegetable resource in order to best assess the peak season for peaches in your region. For now, we will stick with our general range of May to October for peach peak season here in the United States.

If you ever forget, just think of local farmers' markets and how some farmers will only come with their top-notch peaches - and you best believe those all get sold out completely because they are one of the juiciest crowd-favorite summertime fruits!

Raspberries can widely range in peak ripe season depending on whether you are on the east or west coast of the United States. For instance, if you live in sunny Northern California, raspberries are in their peak season from typically May all the way until November. However, if you live in hot and humid Pennsylvania, raspberries are only at their peak from July to September.

Peach and Raspberry Peak Season

Looking over peach and raspberry peak seasons individually, there is a clear overlap during the heart of summer where you are likely to find the ripest peaches and raspberries to use in your Raspberry Peach Soda recipe, along with a variety of other recipes you can make with these summertime fruits. Our peak recommendation for this recipe solely in ingredient season would be from late June to the end of September-- the perfect hot summer days just waiting to be quenched by a delicious summer soda.
